Navigation reachability result
why_unreachable reports evidence about a route on the current baked mesh; despite this catalog name, the code is not a generic bake failure. A complete permitted corridor is informational, while an unreachable or capacity-limited query is a warning. The query does not change the mesh and may return the nearest reachable point.
Common causes
- The start has no permitted nearby polygon, or the goal is outside the baked surface.
- The connecting corridor or goal uses a forbidden area, or disconnected islands need a link or geometry change.
- Path search exhausts its capacity; a disabled authored link may be suggested as a candidate, not proof of a connection.
- A complete permitted corridor exists, producing an informational result that needs no repair.
Fixes
Move or project endpoints onto permitted navigation polygons, or rebake the relevant geometry when the intended surface is absent.
Inspect the reported area filter and candidate link; enable the intended link or add the missing connection, then query again.
Increase query capacity before concluding that a truncated search proves disconnection.
Leave a successful informational result unchanged.
