Inline component on prefab instance

A prefab instance record carries a component directly beside its prefab reference. Instance data must express component changes through overrides; the document fails validation.

#Common causes

• Component JSON was copied from a plain entity onto an instance record.

#Fixes

• Move the intended value into an override, using ara do prefab.override.set with the instance's entity, path and value when it is loaded.

• Remove the invalid inline component after preserving its intended values, then run ara check <file>.
