Cyclic parent chain

Following parent links leads back to the same entity. The document hierarchy is invalid; reparenting under the entity itself or its descendants is rejected.

#Common causes

• An entity was parented to itself or beneath one of its descendants.
• Independent edits formed a loop across several records.

#Fixes

• Use ara do entity.reparent to move one member of the cycle to a root or an unrelated parent.

• If repairing a file, break the cyclic parent link and run ara check <file> before formatting.
