Record already exists

A create operation targets an ID already present in the document. The existing record is preserved and the command batch is rejected.

#Common causes

• Reusing a concrete record ID for a second entity.
• Repeating a creation request without an idempotency key.

#Fixes

• Omit id or use a fresh $symbol with entity.create so the engine allocates an unused ID.

• If the entity already exists, inspect it with ara inspect and change it through property.set instead of creating it again.
