Invalid document or record ID

An ID is malformed or has a prefix inappropriate for its document or record kind. Invalid header IDs prevent document loading; invalid record IDs are reported and may be skipped. A command supplying an invalid ID is rejected.

#Common causes

• A copied ID has uppercase letters, punctuation, an empty body or the wrong kind prefix.
• A command tries to create an entity with a non-entity ID.

#Fixes

• Let entity.create or prefab.instantiate mint an ID by omitting id, or supply a batch symbol such as $crate.

• For file repairs, use the prefix specified in the diagnostic and the grammar <prefix>_<body>: 1–3 lowercase prefix letters and 1–24 lowercase letters or digits in the body; update references consistently and run ara check.
