Type upgrade failed

A component's upgrade hook returned an error while advancing stored data to the current version. Normalization stops for that component; the reader may retain partially transformed data, but the document has errors and must not be written back as a successful upgrade.

#Common causes

• The stored value does not satisfy an upgrade hook's assumptions.
• A migration hook cannot convert the reported source version.

#Fixes

• Correct the source data or the type's upgrade hook using the version and reason in the message, then rerun ara check <file> from the original file.

• Run ara fmt <file> only after the upgrade succeeds without errors; do not merely raise the stored version number.
