Invalid field path

A field path is malformed, cannot be resolved against the schema or cannot be applied to the current value. The edit is rejected. parent and order cannot be changed through ordinary property writes.

#Common causes

• A misspelled field, an invalid vector component or selection inside a scalar.
• Addressing a plain list by index instead of replacing it whole, or selecting a keyed item that does not exist.
• Using property.set for hierarchy fields or another field outside name and component data.

#Fixes

• Check ara schema <Type> and use a path such as Transform.position.x or a keyed collection's stable item ID.

• Replace a plain list as a whole with property.set; use ara do entity.reparent with parent and index for hierarchy changes.
