Unknown field

An object contains a key its schema does not define. Validation fails; a document may still be available for inspection, but ara fmt will not write a document with errors. Command or C# value validation rejects the affected input.

#Common causes

• A misspelled field name or a field from another type.
• An unsupported top-level document key.

#Fixes

• Run ara schema <Type> or use ara_schema to find the correct field name.

• Use ara check --fix <file> to apply a sole suggested rename or top-level removal; review the suggested change first.
