Invalid module descriptor
Host descriptor validation found malformed data, duplicate declarations or invalid access sets. Module registration is all-or-nothing, so rejected replacements leave the world and active module generations unchanged. This code also reports invalid structural command-buffer operations; those operations are skipped while other operations in the buffer may apply.
Common causes
- A descriptor is malformed or declares a component or resource already owned by another module.
- A system takes the same component or resource more than once.
- A command buffer names a missing entity, unknown component, wrong data size or unsupported operation.
Fixes
Fix the named declaration or access set in source and regenerate the module descriptor; give shared types a single owning module.
Remove duplicate query parameters and use one binding for each component or resource.
For a command-buffer error, correct the target entity, component index or payload layout and inspect which other operations already applied.
