Dependency cascade failed

A dependency prevents loading a module, or a reload cascade cannot rebuild every affected dependent against the proposed change. A failed reload cascade applies none of its replacements: every affected module keeps its last good version.

#Common causes

• A dependency is missing, cyclic or otherwise unable to load.
• A changed dependency API breaks a dependent's compilation or analyzer checks.

#Fixes

• Fix the originating dependency or dependent diagnostics, then retry the reload.

• Update affected callers together with the dependency API so the whole cascade can compile successfully.
