Installation registration failed

The installed package's install.ps1 -RegisterOnly (Hub engine registration, shortcuts, PATH and prerequisite checks) exited with an error. The installed files remain; the script's output follows the message and is copied by the window's Copy details.

Common causes

  • A prerequisite such as the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable (x64) is missing.
  • The Hub service could not start or register the engine.

Fixes

  • Fix the cause shown in the output, then run install.ps1 -RegisterOnly in the installation folder (or run setup again and choose Replace).

  • Check hub-start.log in the Ara config folder when the Hub service failed to start.
