Replacing the installation failed and was rolled back

Setup extracts the new files beside the installation, moves the previous installation aside, then moves the new files into place. One of those moves failed; the previous installation is unchanged or was restored, and the extracted copy was removed.

#Common causes

• A program, scanner or Explorer preview keeps a file inside the installation open.
• The new files could not be moved into place.

#Fixes

• Close programs that use files in the installation folder (C# compile servers included), then run setup again.

• If the problem persists, restart Windows and run setup before opening Ara.
