Native crash monitor unavailable

Native capture could not install its handler or start the out-of-process monitor. Doctor also uses this code to describe Windows/Linux capture support and the disabled-by-default upload policy.

#Common causes

• A crash handler is already installed in the process.
• The executable could not launch its monitor, or the monitor did not become ready within five seconds.
• Native capture was requested on an unsupported platform.

#Fixes

• Install capture once and retain its guard for the player lifetime; release the previous guard before reinstalling.

• Keep monitor argument dispatch in the shipped executable and inspect process-launch permissions and the reported startup error.

• Use the native capture implementation on Windows or Linux.
