Invalid plugin manifest

A plugin permission manifest is malformed XML, lacks a manifest root, or contains a permission with no nonempty Android-namespaced name. Manifest merging stops.

Common causes

  • A file in permissionManifests is malformed or declares name without the Android namespace.

Fixes

  • Fix the referenced XML to use a manifest root and xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"; give every permission a nonempty android:name.
