Android target platform missing

Doctor requires platforms/android-<targetApi>/android.jar and a target API of at least 36. A missing platform or lower configured API fails this required check.

Common causes

  • The SDK platform for the preset's targetApi is not installed, or targetApi is below 36.

Fixes

  • Set the preset's targetApi to at least 36 and run sdkmanager 'platforms;android-36' for API 36, substituting the actual target API when higher.

  • Run ara-export doctor --preset <preset> --project <project> to check the preset's target.
